The wedding day transportation is like the first chapter in the story of your wedding. Vehicles

Most New Orleans weddings will have from 2-4 cars. It is traditional to have a stretch limousine for the wedding party for a grand arrival. You might also have a Sprinter van for the groomsmen and wedding party members for a more practical seating capacity (up to 14), USB charging, climate control, seating, etc.

However if your wedding is in the city center you will need a guest shuttle bus to take your guests from the ceremony to the reception so they wont have to drag around their fun shoes and hunt for parking, and a sedan or SUV for the couples getaway for a simple and romantic sendoff. Venues

Every New Orleans wedding locations, each with its own transportation issues. The French Quarter locations, such as The Roosevelt Hotel and Hotel Monteleone, are accessed through narrow streets that must be arranged with the venue’s valet service prior to your arrival. Garden District mansions are accessed through residential neighborhoods with awkward curb space for buses.

Uptown locations, like Audubon Tea Room, are easier to get to but require maneuvering through neighborhood roads. Race and Religious is only accessible on Magazine Street and requires planning for multiple vehicle arrivals. Timeline

The usual wedding transportation schedule could be: Bridal party pickup 90 min before, groomsmen pickup 60 min before, guest shuttles 45 min before, ceremony-reception transfer immediately after photographs, and the getaway car waiting at the reception venue for the grand exit.
