The Tabasco factory tour is self-guided, 10 stops from seed to sauce: the museum, the pepper greenhouse, the barrel warehouse where the mash ages, and the blending and bottling floor.
Jungle Gardens Avery Island
A 170-acre preserve set aside in 1895, with giant live oaks, wisteria, bird habitat and the occasional alligator. Walk it, or drive the loop.
Restaurant 1868! & Country Store
Cajun dishes built around the sauce, and the TABASCO Country Store for varieties you will not find at home.

Most visitors spend two to four hours on the island. Your chauffeur waits on site, and the vehicle has a cooler of cold water for the drive back.

Daily from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM Central, closed on major holidays. Leaving New Orleans around 8:00 AM gives you the full day on the island; most visitors spend two to four hours there.
Can we stop for lunch or add Lafayette or Breaux Bridge?
Yes. TABASCO's own restaurant, 1868!, is on the island, and with your own vehicle you can add a stop in New Iberia, Lafayette or Breaux Bridge on the way home. Tell us the plan and we build the day around it.
Do you pick up in Baton Rouge?
Yes. Avery Island is about an hour and a half from Baton Rouge, and we run the same day trips and transfers from there.
