Cruise Port Transfers New Orleans, Priced Per Vehicle
A private hotel and cruise port shuttle in New Orleans is one vehicle assigned to your party, with a chauffeur who handles the luggage and a flat price agreed before you travel: $126.50 for a sedan (up to 2), $165.50 for an SUV (up to 6), $278 for an Executive Sprinter (up to 14), from any hotel in the French Quarter, CBD or Warehouse District to the Julia Street or Erato Street terminal, or from MSY airport straight to the port. Each figure already includes the 10% fuel surcharge, the MSY fee and a 20% chauffeur gratuity; nothing is added at checkout.
The Port of New Orleans is the sixth-largest cruise port in the United States and runs two terminals on the Mississippi a few blocks apart: Julia Street and Erato Street (portnola.com, checked September 2026). Both sit at the foot of the Warehouse District, ten to fifteen minutes from most downtown hotels in ordinary traffic.
Private hotel shuttle, priced per vehicle - no shared vans
A private hotel shuttle means the vehicle is yours. We quote one flat price for the vehicle, never a per-seat fare, so the number you are given at booking is the number you pay — whether two of you are going to the Julia Street terminal or the entire party is going to Erato Street. The price does not move because the group grew, and it does not move because another family’s flight was late.
Group size is never the constraint. Past the Executive Sprinter we run Executive Buses, Executive Bus XL and full motorcoaches, so a wedding block, a convention delegation or a family reunion travels on one booking, one contact and one manifest. Tell us the headcount and we assign the vehicle mix; for cruise port transfers, New Orleans groups of any size are quoted as a single per-vehicle rate, and the chauffeur handles every bag from the hotel door to the terminal curb.
Flat Rates: Hotel or MSY to the Cruise Port
| Vehicle | Passengers | Hotel or MSY → Port (all-in) |
|---|---|---|
| Sedan | 1–2 | $126.50 |
| SUV | 3–6 | $165.50 |
| Executive Sprinter | 7–14 | $278.00 |
| Executive Bus | 15–23 | $517.00 |
All-in: 10% fuel surcharge, MSY fee and 20% chauffeur gratuity included. Nothing added at checkout.
Groups of 24 or more: Executive Bus XL and motorcoach transfers are quoted per route. Hourly charters for hotel groups run $273/hr (Executive Bus) and $357.50/hr (Executive Bus XL), four-hour minimum.
How a Cruise Port Transfer Works
- Book with the sailing. Give us the ship, the terminal named on your boarding documents, sailing time and hotel. We set the pickup two to two-and-a-half hours before sailing.
- Hotel door. The chauffeur meets you in the lobby, loads every bag, and drives the ten-to-fifteen-minute route to the terminal entrance — no parking garage, no shuttle bus, no dragging luggage across a lot.
- Terminal curb. Bags go straight to the porters at the terminal door. You walk in to check-in.
- Disembarkation day. We track the vessel and the port’s disembarkation window. The chauffeur is at the terminal exit with a name sign; waiting on a late disembarkation is not charged.
- Port to MSY. About 15 miles, 30 to 45 minutes in ordinary traffic. The all-in airport rate applies.
“It was very reassuring that Wyatt met us in the terminal, we felt safe during the ride and he was so very respectful with handling our luggage.” — Kawehi, Google review, September 2026
“We used Jazzy for two transfers, one from the airport to our hotel, and then a few days later from our hotel to the cruise terminal.” — Sean, Google review, April 2023
Hotel to MSY Airport Shuttle
The same private vehicles run every hotel-to-airport route: the French Quarter, the Central Business District and Warehouse District, the Convention Center hotels, the Garden District and Uptown, and Metairie and Kenner. Airport transfers are priced at the flat all-in rates above and are flight-tracked, so the chauffeur is waiting inside at baggage claim on arrival and at your hotel door for departure.
For hotel groups — a wedding block, a convention delegation, a team — we run Executive Buses (up to 23), Executive Bus XL (up to 32) and motorcoaches (up to 56) between the hotel, the airport and the port, on one booking with one contact. Tell us the headcount and the manifest, and we handle the vehicle mix.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much is a shuttle from a New Orleans hotel to the cruise port?
From any hotel in the French Quarter, CBD or Warehouse District to the Julia Street or Erato Street terminal, a private sedan is $126.50 all-in for up to two passengers, an SUV $165.50 for up to six, and an Executive Sprinter $278 for up to fourteen. The same flat rates apply from MSY airport straight to the port. Each figure already includes the 10% fuel surcharge, the MSY fee and a 20% chauffeur gratuity; nothing is added at checkout.
Which cruise terminal does my ship use?
The Port of New Orleans operates two terminals a few blocks apart on the river: Julia Street (Carnival, Royal Caribbean and Norwegian sailings) and Erato Street (Carnival's larger ships). Your cruise line names the terminal on your boarding documents; give it to us at booking and the chauffeur goes to the right door.
What time should I leave the hotel for a cruise departure?
Most lines close boarding 60 to 90 minutes before sailing. From a French Quarter or CBD hotel the drive is 10 to 15 minutes, so a pickup two to two-and-a-half hours before sailing leaves time for terminal check-in and security without waiting around.
Do you track the ship on disembarkation day?
Yes. We monitor vessel arrival and the port's disembarkation window, and the chauffeur meets you at the terminal exit with a name sign. If disembarkation runs late you are not charged for the wait.
Can you take us from the cruise port straight to MSY airport?
Yes, and it is the most common request we get on disembarkation mornings. Port to MSY is about 15 miles; allow 30 to 45 minutes in ordinary traffic. Book a flight no earlier than early afternoon on the day you disembark.
Do you run a shared shuttle or a private vehicle?
Private only. The vehicle is assigned to your party, priced per vehicle rather than per seat, and leaves when you are ready. For groups of 15 or more we run Executive Buses and motorcoaches from hotels to the port and the airport.
Is luggage assistance included?
Every transfer includes luggage handling from your hotel door to the terminal curb, and from the terminal exit to the vehicle on the way back. Tell us at booking if you are travelling with more than two large bags per person so the right vehicle is assigned.
Is there a shuttle from MSY to French Quarter hotels?
Yes. A chauffeur meets you inside MSY at baggage claim and drives you straight to your French Quarter, CBD or Warehouse District hotel. For cruise port transfers, New Orleans hotel pickups and MSY runs all use the same vehicle card: sedan $126.50 (up to 2), SUV $165.50 (up to 6) and Executive Sprinter $278 (up to 14), all-in and per vehicle.
How much is a private hotel shuttle in New Orleans?

The 10% fuel surcharge, the MSY fee and a 20% chauffeur gratuity are already inside those figures. Larger parties move to an Executive Bus or a motorcoach quoted for the group. Nothing is added at checkout and nobody is charged per seat.
Do you drop at the cruise terminal on the way?
Yes, when the schedule allows. A hotel-to-MSY run passes within a few blocks of both terminals, so tell us at booking and the chauffeur can stop at the Julia Street or Erato Street terminal to drop passengers and bags before continuing to the airport. Allow an extra 20 to 30 minutes so a terminal stop does not put your flight at risk.
