Zurich Classic Planning Guide for Groups and Corporate Hospitality

Zurich Classic Planning Guide for Groups and Corporate Hospitality, New Orleans luxury transportation

Short answer: this Zurich Classic planning guide comes down to one idea: plan Zurich Classic week around four fixed points: the dates (April 19 to 25, 2027, per the tournament website), the group's hotel, the credentials the group holds from the tournament, and a transport plan that gets everyone to TPC Louisiana in Avondale together. Our Zurich Classic transportation service handles the last of those with a flat all-in rate per vehicle. This Zurich Classic planning guide covers the rest, and it flags what only the tournament can tell you.

Zurich Classic planning guide: the format in a paragraph

The Zurich Classic of New Orleans is the PGA TOUR's team event, played at TPC Louisiana. Instead of one player against the field, players compete as two-player teams. In recent editions, the first and third rounds were four-ball (each player plays their own ball and the better score counts) and the second and fourth rounds were foursomes (the partners alternate shots with one ball). NBC Sports described the 2025 format as 80 two-man teams with a cut to the top 33 teams and ties after 36 holes. We have not confirmed the 2027 field or format, so check the PGA TOUR and the tournament website as the week approaches.

For a host, the format matters in one practical way: the rounds alternate between two different styles of play, so the pace of a day can differ from one round to the next. Ask your tournament contact what to expect before you set a return time.

Step 1: Fix the dates and the headcount

The tournament website lists April 19 to 25, 2027. Tournament week is a full week, not one event day. Decide which days your group will attend, then count the people for each day. A headcount that changes by day changes the vehicle you need.

A quick way to size the group:

Group sizeVehicle that usually fitsNotes
1 to 2Sedan or Premium SedanVIP arrivals, executives
3 to 6SUV or Premium SUVA foursome with bags
7 to 14Executive SprinterCompany outings
15 to 23Executive BusHotel blocks
24 to 32Executive Bus XLLarge corporate groups
33 to 56MotorcoachFull-size groups

Seat counts are maximums. Leave room for golf attire, rain gear and any luggage, and we will recommend a size up when the group needs it. The Sprinter van guide explains how seats and luggage trade off.

Zurich Classic planning guide, step 2: decide where the group stays

You have two practical choices.

Downtown (French Quarter, CBD, Warehouse District). More restaurants, more evening options and the hotels most visitors know. The cost is the river crossing to reach TPC Louisiana, which adds a timing variable you should plan for. Our French Quarter hotel shuttle guide covers how pickups at tight downtown hotel entrances work.

West Bank, near the course. The drive to the course is short and the crossing is avoided. The trade is fewer evening options nearby, and your group still needs rides to dinner.

Many corporate groups stay downtown and ride to the course in a single vehicle, which keeps the group together. Whichever you choose, tell your hotel's concierge or front desk the vehicle type and time so the loading area is clear when your vehicle arrives.

Step 3: Know what access the group holds

Only the tournament can tell you what your tickets, hospitality packages and parking credentials allow. The tournament's ticket page for the 2026 tournament listed daily tickets, an all-inclusive hospitality ticket, a party pavilion, tailgate and suite options, a one-day sponsor lot pass and a week-long valet pass. Those were 2026 offers and prices, and we did not verify 2027 equivalents, so we do not quote them. If your group has hospitality or a sponsor lot credential, ask the tournament office which entrance and which drop-off point apply to each guest.

We do not sell tickets or hospitality. What we do is coordinate pickup and drop-off times around the access your group has. If part of your group holds a credential for a specific entrance, tell us before the week so we can plan the drop-off accordingly. The tournament's parking and directions page lists the public options, and our Zurich Classic parking guide summarizes them.

Step 4: Plan transportation as a schedule

For a hospitality group, transportation is a schedule with three or four fixed moments. Write them down.

  1. Arrival. If guests fly in, a chauffeur meets them at MSY and takes them to the hotel or straight to the course. Our MSY airport transportation page explains the process.
  2. Hotel to course. Set a group pickup time and a loading point. Work backward from the time you need to be at the gate. For the timing method and the river crossing, read how to get to TPC Louisiana from the French Quarter, the CBD and MSY.
  3. Return. Agree on a window and a meeting point, not an exact minute. The end of the day is when the whole crowd leaves at once.
  4. Evening. If the group has dinner plans, decide whether the same vehicle continues or a new pickup is needed.

For multi-vehicle groups, one booking can cover several vehicles with a chauffeur for each. Our corporate car service page covers how company moves are handled.

Step 5: Choose between transfers and an all-day charter

There are two ways to book.

One-way transfers suit guests with a fixed arrival and a flexible departure, or the reverse. You pay a flat all-in rate for each leg.

An all-day charter keeps the vehicle and chauffeur with the group. For Zurich week, hourly and charter bookings carry a six-hour minimum, which suits a hospitality group with a morning arrival and an evening return, because the vehicle waits instead of leaving and returning. It also gives guests a place to leave jackets and rain gear.

Decide by asking: will everyone leave at the same time? If yes, a transfer each way is usually enough. If departures are staggered, a charter is simpler.

Flat rates for Zurich week

For transfers to or from TPC Louisiana during Zurich week, April 19 to 25, 2027, the rate is a flat all-in rate per vehicle, with no separate West Bank fee and no separate TPC fee:

VehicleSeatsFlat all-in rate
SUVUp to 6$370.50
Premium SUVUp to 6$487.50
Executive SprinterUp to 14$585
Executive BusUp to 23$819
Executive Bus XLUp to 32$1,072.50
MotorcoachUp to 56$1,852.50

The complete list, including sedans, stretch limos and party buses, is on the Zurich Classic transportation page. Child seats are $25 per seat. Airport-pickup, late-night and early-morning fees apply as they normally do, and your quote lists every line.

What to settle before the week

  • Headcount per day, and who holds which credential.
  • Hotel name and pickup entrance for each group.
  • A single point of contact who has the chauffeur's number.
  • A return window for each day.
  • Bag limits. The tournament's policies page prohibits backpacks and chair bags and limits bag sizes, so tell guests before they pack.
  • Accessibility needs. The tournament asks guests who need wheelchair access to call the Tournament Office at 504-342-3000 to arrange drop-off.

Booking

Start with the booking form, or call 504.320.8448. Tell us the dates, the pickup address, the group size and whether you need transfers or an all-day charter. We confirm the vehicle and the flat rate in writing before you commit.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the format of the Zurich Classic of New Orleans?

It is the PGA TOUR's team event, played by two-player teams who alternate between four-ball and foursomes. In recent editions the first and third rounds were four-ball (best ball) and the second and fourth were foursomes (alternate shot). How early should a group book transportation for Zurich Classic week?
